Helbig and Hart’s ‘HeyUSA’ Books a Date with CNE’s The Scene
Following YouTube uploads from an epic, eight-week, cross-country road trip this summer, a long-form version of Mamrie Hart and Grace Helbig‘s web series, “HeyUSA,” will debut exclusively on Conde Nast Entertainment’s The Scene.
Produced by digital/social content studio Astronauts Wanted, the interactive series followed Hart and Helbig as they incorporated fan suggestions into their exploration of the USA. Various footage was made available on Astronauts Wanted’s YouTube channel (as well as Helbig and Hart’s personal channels), including behind-the-scenes specials like bloopers and the making-of each long-form episode, which the studio said would premiere at a later date.
This “later date” will be October 15. Astronauts Wanted hopes its social-led approach to raising interest for the series — sharing content from the trip across YouTube, Tumblr, Instagram, and other social networks — will drive tune-in on The Scene. So far, “HeyUSA” social content has generated 6 million views on YouTube and 3 million engagements across Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube, according to Astronauts Wanted.
“HeyUSA” was created by Astronauts Wanted’s Billy Parks and Nick Shore, and executive produced by the two along with Bleecker Street Entertainment’s Ken Treusch.Tags: #heyusa, AOL, astronauts wanted, bleecker street entertainment, CNE, conde nast entertainment, Dailymotion, Grace Helbig, instagram, judy mcgrath, Mamrie Hart, Roku, Sony Music Entertainment, The Scene, tumblr, twitter, Yahoo!, youtube, YouTube Creators
