Hulu Gives Original Comedy Series ‘Quick Draw’ a Second Season
Hulu original “Quick Draw” has been renewed for a second season. The comedy series, which takes place in 19th century Kansas, debuted in August this year and has been among the video site’s 10 most-popular shows, according to Hulu.
Launching with boasts of being a “improv/action/western/procedural/comedy,” the Hulu original stars John Lehr and Nicholas Brown who play two lawmen attempting to bring science and culture to the town of Great Bend. Of course, this being backwater Kansas, the townsfolk are none too impressed.
The series will follow Hulu’s current system for launching originals, which involve airing two episodes at launch, then rolling out the rest of the season per episode on a weekly basis.
“Quick Draw” is co-created and executive produced by Lehr and Nancy Hower. Keith Raskin of “Key & Peele” and “The League” also serves as an executive producer.
The second season will debut sometime in 2014.Tags: Hulu, John Lehr, Nicholas Brown, original programming, Quick Draw, Renewal
