Hulu’s ‘Deadbeat’ Unveils All-Star Guest List for Season 2
The second season of “Deadbeat,” a Hulu original series about a hapless New Yorker who has the ability to communicate with ghosts, will premiere on Monday, April 20.*
The supernatural comedy series stars Tyler Labine as the medium and Brandon T. Jackson as his weed dealer/best friend.* Season two will also feature appearances from James Franco, Danny DeVito, Fred Armisen, Michael Ian Black, Gilbert Gottfried, Jim Norton, Zachary Levi, and Finn Wittrock.
Created by Cody Heller and Brett Konner (“Wilfred,” “The Inbetweeners”), “Deadbeat” is produced for Hulu by Lionsgate Television in association with Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment and Dakota Pictures. It’s executive produced by Heller, Konner, Dan Lagana, who also serves as showrunner, and Plan B’s Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner. Co-executive producers include Sarah Esberg, Dan Poquette, and David Baldy.
This is one of several original series Lionsgate is producing for Hulu. Others include an untitled project with YouTube star Freddie Wong and a half-hour single-camera comedy from Oscar-nominated filmmaker Jason Reitman.
