‘I F**king Love Science’ Coming to TestTube and Science Channel
TestTube, Discovery’s digital video network focusing on scientific and non-fiction content, is launching a new channel and short-form web series featuring Elise Andrew, the creator of the very popular Facebook page “I F**king Love Science.” The web series, which will debut new episodes every Friday, will feature Andrew discussing the latest news and advances in the world of science. She will also highlight her favorite posts on the IFLS Facebook page and respond to questions/comments submitted by fans.
The IFLS-branded channel and web series are part of a multi-platform development partnership between Andrew, TestTube, and Discovery’s Science Channel. This partnership encompasses short-form video, social/online content, and linear television. Andrew is currently working with Science Channel on an IFLS television project to premiere in “the next several months.”
Andrew, who has a background in biology, animal sciences, and evolution studies, launched the IFLS Facebook page less than two years ago to talk about her love for all things science. Since then, the page has amassed an incredible following, with more than 6.6 million “likes”/fans and counting.
Discovery Digital Networks is an independent division within Discovery Communications that oversees TestTube, as well as other online video networks/creators within the Discovery portfolio, including Revision3, SourceFed, The DeFranco Network, and soon Animalist.Tags: discovery, Discovery Digital Networks, Elise Andrew, Phil Defranco, revision3, Science Channel, SourceFed, TestTube
