Instead of Killing Turkeys, Watch Some Live Ones on Animal Planet
So it’s Thanksgiving. But unlike your brothers, dads, or uncles, you’re really not that into football. You could care less how the Cowboys or Lions stumble their way through yet another Thanksgiving Day game, and you sure as hell have no interest in lacing up to get tackled by family members playing the amateur version of the game outside.
Nor are you that good of a cook. In fact, the best thing for all parties involved is for you to stay out of the kitchen, you’ve ruined enough peach cobblers.
So what are you to do? Netflix? Sure, that’s an option, you can always catch up on all those shows you’ve been meaning to watch.
Or you could get festive, in your own little way, and watch three special holiday-centric live feeds on Animal Planet Live, a live-streaming channel from Discovery’s Animal Planet.
Wait, what? Yes, this is a shameless Thanksgiving Day post, but check it out: Animal Planet Live is offering three live feeds — a Turkey Cam, a Penguin Cam, and a Reindeer Cam — for you to get into the right holiday mood, before you destroy Uncle Steve’s all-meat casserole.
The streaming service, which launched in April, has accumulated more than 1 million hours of viewing in the past seven months, according to Discovery. Animal Planet Live has more than 20 live cameras, all of which are available online and on mobile devices via apl.tv.
