Intel to Release Fourth Installment of Branded Film Series, ‘Inside,’ on Hulu

/ Mar 11, 2015

Intel has partnered with Dell on the fourth installment of its branded film series, “Inside,” which will debut this March 25 on Hulu.

Called “What Lives Inside,” the series follows a man by played by Colin Hanks who’s searching for his father, a celebrated puppeteer. Other actors in the series include JK Simmons, who just won an Academy Award for his role in “Whiplash,” and Catherine O’Hara. “What Lives Inside” was directed by Oscar-winner Robert Stromberg (“Maleficent”).

The series will roll out on Hulu over the course of four weeks. Starting May 6, the full series will also be available on and YouTube. You can watch the trailer below:

Since this is a branded film series, after all, “What Lives Inside” makes sure to showcase Intel and Dell products, weaving them into the plot (Hanks’s character uses an Intel-powered Dell tablet throughout the series).

The series, along with the entire “Inside” collection, also has a social emphasis. Director Stromberg had people submit character sketches and drawings to the series’ website. The work that was chosen will show up in “What Lives Inside.”

“What Lives Inside” marks the fourth in a line of branded entertainment series from Intel. The most recent one, “The Power Inside,” was directed by Will Speck and Josh Gordon and starred Craig Roberts, Zack Pearlman, and Harvey Keitel. The first of the series came out in 2011, when Intel partnered with Toshiba to create “Inside,” the year after which Intel premiered “The Beauty Inside.” All series used audience input to help shape the characters and plot, with viewers even auditioning and joining the cast of “The Beauty Inside.”
