Interlude Names Jim Spare President and COO
Interactive video tech company Interlude has hired Jim Spare to be its president and chief operating officer. In the role, Spare will be responsible for making Interlude a bigger name in the interactive video space, as well as increasing its customer base.
Spare will work under Interlude CEO Yoni Bloch. “Jim will play a key role in making interactive video mainstream,” Block said, “and opening a new realm of possibility for creative storytelling, viewer engagement, and business opportunity.”
Before Interlude, Spare served as the CEO of Canesta, a 3D sensing company financed by venture capitalists. In 2010, the company sold to Microsoft. Spare has worked for a variety of technology, mobile, telecom, and internet service companies since graduating from The Tucks Scool of Business at Dartmouth.
Interlude is behind the video creating suite, Treehouse, which lets users, ranging from individual creators to brands and companies, make interactive, “choose your own adventure”-style videos. Bloch, a musician, founded the company with his band.Tags: Executive Hire, Interactive Video, interlude, jim spare, treehouse
