Jukin Media Nabs Machinima’s Cameron Saless for EVP Post
Jukin Media has hired Cameron Saless, a former executive at Machinima and MTV Networks, to be its new executive vice president of audience development and strategic partnerships. He will be responsible for leading the company’s audience development efforts as well as finding new content partners for Jukin to work with.
By now you’re familiar with Jukin Media; the company that specializes in finding and acquiring viral YouTube clips, and then licensing them to media companies and brands, among other outlets. With access to the company’s growing library of video clips, Saless’ role will also encompass expanding the distribution of this content to across web video, television, and other platforms.
Most recently, Saless was the interim head of original programming and production at Machinima, the YouTube network devoted to gaming and fanboy culture. Prior to that, though, he served as the company’s SVP of business development and strategy for close to four years. Previously, Saless has also held executive roles at companies like MTV Networks and JibJab.
He is the latest in a series of hires by Jukin Media. The company also recently added Josh Kreitzman, formerly of TheAudience and FremantleMedia, as VP of publishing and programming, and Jeremy Gerstman, formerly of Fullscreen, as VP of operations.
Kreitzman will oversee the growth of Jukin’s owned-and-operated content brands, including Fail Army and Jukin Video. Gerstman will be responsible for creating and managing partnerships with publishers, YouTubers, and other content creators and providers in the digital space.Tags: Cameron Saless, Exec Moves, Jeremy Gerstman, Josh Kreitzman, Jukin Media, Machinima, Movers, mtv networks
