Lindsey Stirling Jumps from Fullscreen to Maker Studios
Maker Studios has signed musician and YouTube star Lindsey Stirling.
Per the deal, Maker will now manage both of the musician’s YouTube channels, LindseyStomp and LindseyTime, as well as provide production resources to the star via its studio facilities in Culver City. The MCN will also pitch and represent both channels — as well as Stirling’s other social accounts and pages — to advertisers.
Beyond Stirling’s own channels, Maker says it will proactively track Stirling’s music on YouTube to ensure that it’s properly monetized, even if uploaded by a fan.
Stirling, who has one of the top music channels on YouTube with more than 5.2 million subscribers, has a pretty well-known “origin story”: After being eliminated from “America’s Got Talent” in 2010, she rose to fame on YouTube, and has since made hit records, toured worldwide, and returned as a featured performer on the show that she was originally rejected by.
Prior to signing with Maker, Stirling was repped by Fullscreen. In total, across two channels, the star has garnered over half a billion views on YouTube.Tags: CDS MCN, fullscreen, Lindsey Stirling, maker studios, MCN, Talent Signing, YouTube Creators
