Machinima Hires New President/GM to Oversee Day-to-Day Ops
Machinima is formally announcing the appointment of Stephen Semprevivo as its new president and general manager. Semprevivo joined Machinima, one of the top multi-channel networks on YouTube, six months ago, though he officially assumed his new role last month. With the formal announcement, it appears he has been picked to fill the seat vacated by outgoing Machinima president Philip DeBevoise.
Semprevivo’s responsibilities include being the “executive leader” for all operations at Machinima, including global ad sales, marketing, the company’s network business, channel partner management, international, programming, and other administrative functions. He will report directly to Machinima chairman and CEO Allen DeBevoise*, who is still searching for his successor as the chief executive of the gaming/entertainment company**.
“Stephen has been working with us for a few months now and we have already seen outstanding results from his efforts,” said DeBevoise in a statement. “I am excited to appoint him as president and GM of Machinima. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge, is already driving improved operational performance, and I look forward to seeing the company evolve and grow thanks to his leadership.”
* Allen DeBevoise is an investor in VideoInk
** As previously reported, DeBevoise will stay on as chairman of Machinima even after he has found a new CEO.Tags: Allen Debevoise, Exec Moves, gaming, Machinima, MCN, Movers, Philip DeBevoise, youtube
