Maker Studios is teaming with Andrew WK on a new original series called “Meet Me at The Reck,” which will follow the rocker/host as he explores a local rec center in Echo Park.

The six-part series, focused on celebrating childhood, will feature famous guests like Jack Black, Zach Woods, comedian Bobby Lee, and professional skater Eric Koston, among others. The series will also welcome Maker Studios talent, including Joseph Garrett, better known as Stampylonghead, and Mary Gutfleisch, aka Mary Doodles.

For Andrew W.K., “Meet Me at The Reck” marks a continued involvement in children’s programming. He also hosted Cartoon Network’s “Destroy Build Destroy,” and will bring his enthusiasm for creating to Maker’s new series, which will also include bonus DIY content.

“Meet Me at The Reck” is executive produced by Ben Cooley. Debuting October 4, each episode will run for five-to-seven minutes and will come out on as well as the network’s toon channel on YouTube, Cartoonium.
