Maker Studios Joins YouTube as MIP Digital Fronts Founding Partner
Maker Studios will be presenting at the upcoming MIP Digital Fronts, a new online video upfront-style event that will take place during the 2014 MIPTV international conference and marketplace.
The multi-channel network joins YouTube, which was announced as a founding partner when the event was first announced in December.
The MIP Digital Fronts, produced by Reed MIDEM, wants to be “the first international digital content marketplace for the production, distribution, and acquisition of high-quality original content produced exclusively for online audiences.” Think of them as the Newfronts for Europe. Screenings and presentations will take place at the Palais de Festivals in Cannes from April 9-10. MIPTV itself begins on April 7.
As part of Maker Studios’ agreement with MIPTV, the company’s executive chairman Ynon Kreiz will give a keynote on April 8 as part of MIPTV’s Media Mastermind Keynote Series.
