Maker Studios Sets Scripted Web Drama with Nylon TV
Maker Studios is producing its first scripted drama.
The MCN, which is still dealing with that whole issue of being acquired by Disney, has partnered with fashion/lifestyle magazine Nylon to produce and distribute “Oh, You Pretty Things,” starring Francesca Eastwood, daughter of Clint.
The 10-episode series will follow a twenty-something “lifestyle blogger,” who along with her trendsetting friends are trying to make it in the underground music and fashion scene in LA’s Eastside. The series was written by Brian Canning and Christian Casucci, and directed by Rico Martinez. Sarah Dumont, Tui Asau, Alexander Nifong, and Matthew Grathwol co-star.
“Oh, You Pretty Things” the first of multiple original programs Maker and Nylon plan to create for multiple platforms. The series will debut on Maker’s fashion/beauty channel, The Platform, on May 19.
Additional content tied to the show will be made available across The Platform, Nylon TV, and Maker Music channels, with select content also showing up on NylonMag.com. There’s a soundtrack for the show, too, which will be released on iTunes on May 27.
“Oh, You Pretty Things” is presented by Maker Studios in association with Nylon TV productions and We Put Out Entertainment. Executive producers include Jessica Gelt on behalf of We Put Out and Marvin Scott Jarrett for Nylon.
