Mama June Shares Video Recipes to Quench Thirst for More ‘Honey Boo Boo’
After single-handedly inventing a two-ingredient (butter and ketchup) Southern-style marinara for her “sketti” in the last season of TLC’s “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” Mama June’s been given a cooking show. Two episodes of “Cooking with June” are already up with four more to come over the next four weeks, with the last episode coordinating with her return to television on July 17.
All recipes are simple and easy to prepare, but also feed quite a few — and on a budget. They’re perfect for feeding large families or just watching as a relief from daunting multiple-step recipes.
Her first video is her take on shepherd’s pie, where her tricks of the trade include bagged mashed potatoes, extra cheese and layering everything like lasagna. The second offering’s the family pork chop casserole recipe, where she simplifies a couple of recipes by using cream of mushroom soup to both season her center-cut chops and add flavor to rice.
It’s not for kitchen traditionalists, but heaven knows she’s already proved herself a master of the unconventional — so much so that ridicule often falls flat. This isn’t Mama June’s first streaming series, and TLC says it won’t be her lastTags: Cooking with June, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Honey Boo Boo, Mama June, TLC, TLC's Here Comes Honey Boo Boo
