Marvel and Lego Join Forces to Launch Animated Digital Miniseries
The only thing that sells better than Marvel products are Lego/Marvel products. I know this because I am an adult and I still feel that unassailable pull towards a Hulk made of green Lego bricks. I cannot imagine how kids, whose parents have disposable income, must feel.
Geniusly, Marvel is launching a new Lego-centric animated miniseries today called “Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Maximum Overload.” That’s one hell of a name. The series, which will air exclusively on Disney.com, Marvel.com, Disney’s YouTube channel, and the Disney app on select devices, takes the Marvel universe and shrinks it down to Lego size.
The whole gang is here (in Lego form), including Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Wolverine, and Black Widow among many others. The heroes in the miniseries must defeat the original trickster himself, Loki, as he attempts to put Earth under his control. Classic Marvel.
Of course, the series features a guest appearance from none other than Stan “The Man” Lee, who you may know from creating basically every great superhero ever.
“Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Maximum Overload” kicks off today. You can check out the the five-part miniseries in its entirety here.
