Media Rights Capital Names Erin Jontow VP of Television
“House of Cards” producer Media Rights Capital has named Erin Jontow its new vice president of television. In her new role, Jontow will focus on the acquisition and development of current and future MRC television projects.
In addition to “House of Cards,” MRC’s other TV projects include “Knifeman,” from writer Rolin Jones (“Friday Night Lights”), for AMC, and a development deal with director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (“Babel”) for a one-hour drama series.
Jontow joins MRC from BBC America, where she served as VP of scripted programming. During her time, she oversaw the development and production of shows like the Golden Globe-nominated “Orphan Black” and “Copper.” Prior to BBC America, she spent three years at Comedy Central.
Jontow will report to Joe Hipps, SVP of television at the independent multi-platform studio.Tags: AMC, house of cards, Media Rights Capital, Netflix
