Hulu Wrangles Mexican Rodeo Reality Series ‘Los Cowboys’ for October Debut
Following the success of one of its most-watched original shows, “East Los High,” Hulu will debut “Los Cowboys,” another series targeted towards Hispanic millennials. Set to premiere in October, otherwise known as National Hispanic Heritage Month, the reality series will enter production this summer.
The show follows several Latino cowboys hoping to make it into the Mexican National Rodeo Finals in Guadalajara. The horse-riding cast comes from a medley of professional backgrounds, each of whom must work through everyday, urban life while hoping to gain recognition in the world of the charros (aka the Mexican rodeo team).
Cast members of the dramatic reality series, which will be sponsored by Ram Truck, include a TV producer, a florist, a horse trainer, an LA entrepreneur, a firefighter, a model, and the team wife who supposedly keeps them in line. Though the Mexican rodeo came into being over a hundred years ago, it seems to still hold interest for modern-day Latinos in the American west.
To air exclusively on Hulu, “Los Cowboys” is executive produced by Alex Corral and his production company, Corral 360. The company gears its programming specifically toward Hispanic millennials, having also been behind “East Los High,” which will return to Hulu for a second season on July 9.Tags: charros, corral 360, Hulu, los cowboys, mexican rodeo, Reality Series
