Mickela Mallozzi’s ‘Bare Feet’ Web Series Jumps to (Local NY) TV
“Bare Feet,” a travel/dance series from Mickela Mallozzi, is going to television. Mallozzi has inked a deal with NYC Life, the official local TV station of New York City, to launch a half-hour version of the show.
“Bare Feet,” which first premiered online in 2010, follows Mallozzi, a professional dancer, as she travels across the globe to uncover different dance and music cultures.
In the TV-series premiere episode, which will air at 9:30pm on Wednesday, March 5, Mallozzi will travel back to her family’s hometown in Minturno Italy and highlight the local dance and music that takes place at the town’s annual harvest festival.
Season one will run for 13 episodes with Mallozzi traveling to locations like Argentina, Uzbekistan, the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and exotic Brooklyn.
The TV version of “Bare Feet” is co-produced by Mallozzi and Nashville-based production house lilDragon. The show was underwritten, in part, by Mallozzi’s own company, Bare Feet Tours, as well as Walks of Italy and CIE Tours International.
New episodes will air every Wednesday night at 9:30pm on NYC Life (channel 25), with reruns on Sunday mornings at 2:30am.Tags: Bare Feet, Dance, Mickela Mallozzi, NYC Life, travel, web to tv
