Former Break Media EVP of Programming Joins Evolve Media
Evolve Media, the company behind publishing networks like CraveOnline and TotallyHer, has hired Mitch Rotter as its new SVP of marketing. Based out of Evolve’s LA headquarters, Rotter will oversee integrated marketing for the company’s vertical-based publishing divisions CraveOnline and TotallyHer.
“With almost 20 years of digital experience under his belt, we are confident that Mitch will take Evolves editorial and creative abilities to a new level,” said Mike Dodge, COO at Evolve Media, in a statement. “Mitch has a proven record for creating multimillion dollar branded programs and growing rich content properties which are key strategic initiatives for 2014.”
Rotter comes to Evolve from Break Media — which recently merged with Alloy Digital to form Defy Media — where he was EVP of programming. There, Rotter was responsible for all of Break’s editorial properties; its in-house video production unit Creative Lab; and the company’s YouTube strategy and operations. During his time at Break, Rotter helped launch several successful YouTube channels including ScreenJunkies and AWEme, as well as popular video series like “Honest Trailers” and the Paul F. Tompkins-hosted “Speakeasy.”
Prior to Break, Rotter was SVP of marketing and product development at Universal Music Group Distribution.Tags: alloy digitalc, Break Media, CraveOnline, Defy Media, Evolve Media, Exec Moves, Honest Trailers, Movers, screenjunkies, speakeasy
