Here’s another reason that TV broadcast networks are trying so hard to stop Aereo: A new study reveals that many U.S. viewers would considering buying it. About 40% of pay-TV homes said they would likely cancel their TV service and replace it with Aereo if it was available in their market, according to a study from Centris Marketing Science.

Vimeo’s ‘Lip Dubs’ Battle Heads To Appellate Court

Vimeo and the record labels are taking their battle to the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, which agreed this week to hear arguments about whether the video-sharing service is liable for copyright infringement by users.

The record labels sued Vimeo in 2009, alleging that the service infringed copyright by displaying “lip dubs,” or videos featuring people lip-synching to famous songs.
