MSN News Announces Partnership with Newsy
Newsy already makes a self-proclaimed 200 videos per week with over one billion total annual views for their sites and apps, AOL/Huffington Post, National Journal and Mashable, and added MSN News to that list today. However, the relationship will also include a long-term editorial collaboration to create video news designed specifically for MSN and covering breaking news, politics, entertainment, crime, tech and science.
Newsy specializes in short videos, normally no more than a couple of minutes, with a broad array of news sources cited within the video itself — which should prove to be a boon of both credibility and content to MSN News’ video section.
Besides MSN-specific content, Newsy will use their four years of experience making custom mobile news videos to also engage the advertising community as well. To accomodate the expansion, Newsy also recently expanded its team by adding 30 full-time staffers to their Missouri, Chicago and Los Angeles offices.
Newsy’s other videos are already syndicated through 5Min, DBG, Blinkx, Grab Networks and ClipSyndicate, as well as appearing on Pulse, Frequency and Vodio apps and Roku boxes. Their apps on the App Store, Google Play, Windows Phone Marketplace and Nokia Store have won them two Appy Awards, a Davey Award and a W3 Award.Tags: MSN, MSN News, Newsy, online video, online video news, streaming news
