NDN to Syndicate ACC Sports Clips Across Its Video Network
The Atlantic Coast Conference has signed a distribution deal with NDN, one of the largest video networks on the web, to expand the reach of its college sports content online.
Per the deal, the ACC Digital Network’s coverage of college games and highlights will now be syndicated by NDN across its network, which as of October reaches over 50.5 million unique viewers across more than 4,500 publisher partners. In many cases, this means ACC clips will show up on the sites of local newspapers and publishers, which normally don’t have the resources to offer the type of video content the bigger publishing brands are used to.
The ACC is currently comprised of 15 member colleges, including Notre Dame, Syracuse, Pitt, and Louisville, all of which joined the conference this past summer. “The ACC continues to add schools with very significant fan-bases throughout the nation,” said Matt Carstens, EVP and GM of the ACCDN. “A partnership with a premium online video provider like NDN gives us the opportunity to accelerate our mission of serving fans of ACC schools whenever and wherever they want to watch highlights.”
For NDN, this bolsters the company’s sports offering, which already includes content from the likes of MLB and Sports Illustrated.Tags: ACC, Atlantic Coast Conference, College Sports, MLB, NDN, News, Sports, Sports Illustrated
