Netflix to Fund Third Season of Danish Series ‘Rita’

/ Jan 12, 2015

Rita Danish Series Netflix 1-12-15

Netflix is taking on Danish series “Rita” about a beloved but “politically incorrect” school teacher.

Originally on TV 2 in Denmark, “Rita” will pick up where it left off by starting its third season on Netflix, thanks to the streaming service’s financial support.

“Rita”’s third season will be produced by SF Film Production. Both the Copenhagen Film Fund and The Public Service Fund will contribute financially to the series, as well (in addition to TV 2 and Netflix).

The upcoming season of the series will first debut on TV 2 in Denmark in spring 2015, but it will come to Netflix right after, where seasons one through three will be available to users in Europe, Canada, the US, Australia, and New Zealand.

WHEN?! The DATE, damn it. American viewers have been waiting for this show to return for like two years already.

  • JMA2Y

It’s already on Netflix, seasons 1 and 2. Stream it.

Super fantastic series. “Rita” is hot, all the talent is wonderful and the writers produce a quality show that make watching their work habit-forming (and I don’t like most TV.) Thx NETFLIX for funding Series 3…can’t wait.

Anxiously awaiting….can’t arrive fast enough. I’ve fallen in love with the characters and they story.

I love the show Rita. She is so honest and refreshing about issues that affect teens. She tells it like it is. Love, love, love the show. Please continue to fund this Netflix show,
