Netflix Moves Back ‘Mitt’ Premiere by Few Hours
Netflix’s newest original documentary film, “Mitt,” about former presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, will premiere on the service this Friday, January 24. Originally scheduled to go live at midnight PT on the 24th, Netflix has moved back the release time to 11am PT.
“Mitt,” which made its feature debut last Friday at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, goes behind the scenes to provide an intimate look at Romney’s attempts to become president in 2008 and 2012. Directed by Greg Whiteley (“New York Doll”) and executive produced by Seth Gordon (“The King of Kong”), the film will be available in every Netflix territory. In an interview with Deadline after the film’s debut at the Salt Lake City Gala Premiere, Romney praised Whiteley and the film, though by having to relive two failed presidential campaigns added that “enjoy is the wrong word” when describing his experience watching the film.
