Netflix Is Ready for More ‘BoJack Horseman’
A few days after debuting its first season, Netflix has renewed the adult animated comedy “BoJack Horseman” for another season.
With a voice cast that includes Will Arnett (“Arrested Development”), Aaron Paul (“Breaking Bad”), Amy Sedaris (“Strangers with Candy”), and Alison Brie (“Community”), “BoJack Horseman” tells the story of a washed-up TV horse who tries to make a comeback without getting in his own way.
Netflix has ordered a new crop of 12 episodes, which will debut on the streaming service at an unspecified date in the future.
The series was created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg, who also executive produces alongside Steven A. Cohen, Noel Bright, Arnett, and Paul. Former Disney chief Michael Eisner’s Tornante Company produces, with animation from LA-based Shadow Machine.
Netflix’s original comedy slate includes shows like “Arrested Development,” which Arnett also stars in, Ricky Gervais’ “Derek,” and “Orange Is the New Black,” which scored 12 nominations at the 2014 Primetime Emmy Awards.Tags: Aaron Paul, Animation, BoJack Horseman, Netflix, Netflix Original, Series Renewal, Tornante Company, Will Arnett
