New ABC News Mobile App Includes Original Digital Shows/Videos
ABC News Digital has launched a new version of the ABC News app for the iPhone and Android devices. The app features breaking news and live-streaming video content from the news outfit, among other types of watchable and readable content.
In terms of original digital video, ABC News will offer access to “GMA Live,” the companion web program tied to ABC’s “Good Morning America” show. Other ABC News originals like the “Second Tour” special reports, as well as ABC News Now programs like “What’s the Buzz,” “Popcorn with Peter Travers,” “Money Matters,” and “Top Line,” will also be available for streaming on the app.
ABC News Digital says the iPhone app was built on its existing iPad app, which offers content based on what is most relevant to consumers during different times of the day.
For instance, the new app has a feature called “Daily Rewind,” described as a “evening-focused video experience” that allows users to catch up on the day’s top videos and “lighter stories.”
Other features include the ability for users to read a story while watching a related video clip at the same time.Tags: ABC, ABC News, Android, iPad, iphone, mobile video, News content
