New Jukin Media Hires to Upgrade CMS for Company’s Licensing Business
Jukin Media has hired Jerry Boonstra as its new chief technology officer, and Theresa Tran as its new head of product.
Boonstra comes to Jukin Media, a company that’s made a business out of discovering and licensing trending user-generated video clips, from online video startup Frequency, where he served as a principal software engineer. Prior to that, he was senior platform engineering director at CNET.
Tran, meanwhile, is a former product manager at Viacom and senior product manager at Fourth Wall Studios.
Together, the duo will focus on building a new licensing platform at Jukin Media, allowing the company to streamline and automate its licensing business and enable content buyers like news outlets, TV morning shows, and clip shows to quickly grab the content they want to use.
Jukin says it currently holds exclusive media rights to nearly 10,000 short-form videos. There is a CMS in place, the company says, but with Boonstra and Tran on board, it hopes to build out a stronger internal system to track, organize, manage, and sell its assets.Tags: CNET, Exec Moves, Frequency, Jerry Boonstra, Jukin Media, Movers, Theresa Tran, viacom
