New Ora TV Series ‘Wayward Nation’ Reexamines the American Dream (Trailer)
Ora TV, the digital network behind “Larry King Now,” is launching a new original documentary series later this month called “Wayward Nation.”
Created by Mikey McManus and Eric Rusch, the show follows the duo and three of their friends on a cross-country adventure to reexamine what the American Dream means today. What this means: The overall goal for “Wayward Nation” is to highlight inspiring individuals across the country, from a man who beat cancer a decade ago to people who are trying to build affordable, sustainable products. Keeping with that inspirational note, the series will also document various activities the quintet embark on, from chasing an F5 tornado to being part of a disaster relief team, experiencing army training, and flying airplanes.
“Wayward Nation” will debut exclusively on Ora TV on March 26. Though, first, the digital network plans to premiere the series at a South by Southwest event on March 9.
The first season consists of 12 episodes, with a running time of 6-10 minutes each. The series is executive produced by Harris Fishman (“Cat Dancers”) and Ora TV CEO Jon Housman (“Larry King Now,” “Off the Grid with Jesse Ventura”).
