New VEVO Series Features Bands Covering ‘Unexpected’ Songs

VEVO has launched a new original music series, “Unexpected Covers,” which will feature bands covering a song you wouldn’t expect them to. The first episode, which you can check out below, features Passion Pit doing a stripped-down version of Fun’s “Carry On.” At the end of the video, Passion Pit’s Michael Angelakos says a few words about why the band chose to cover the song.

VEVO currently has one other episode planned, which should be live “in the coming weeks,” according to a VEVO spokesperson. Beyond that, it appears new episodes will be produced and made available based on whenever VEVO and a band choose to do an “unexpected cover” as part of the series.
