New Wyatt Cenac Comedy Special to Debut on Netflix in October
Netflix continues to build its original stand-up comedy slate with the latest special from former “Daily Show” correspondent Wyatt Cenac, “Wyatt Cenac: Brooklyn.”
In the comedian’s sophomore special, recorded at Union Hall in the eponymous New York City borough, Cenac shares his observations about the weird things adults do, as well as memories of watching the neighborhood where his grandmother lived for decades become the backdrop for multiple TV shows including three network sitcoms.
Directed by Cenac himself, “Brooklyn” also features puppets and cameos from comedian Eugene Mirman (“Bob’s Burgers”) and Gbenga Akinnagbe (“The Wire”).
The special will debut on Netflix, across all of its territories, on Tuesday, October 21. It will also kick-off a new domestic comedy tour by Cenac.
Coinciding with the streaming release, “Wyatt Cenac: Brooklyn” will also be released as a 1,000 piece limited-edition vinyl LP via Cenac’s production company, Amalgamated Bear, and distributed by Other Music.Tags: Netflix, netflix originals, Stand-Up Comedy, the daily show with jon stewart, Wyatt Cenac
