The New York Times’ Op-Docs Makes Peace Documentary Public
The New York Times’ documentary division, Op-Docs, just released “Three Short Films About Peace” on NYTimes.com. Errol Morris created the three-part documentary, which marks his fifth time working with Op-Docs.
“Three Short Films About Peace” features Nobel Peace Prize winner Leymah Gbowee, Nobel Laureate (and former Polish president) Lech Walesa, and humanitarian/musician Bob Geldof. Each section focuses on a different peacemaker, in total running for 50 minutes.
The documentary debuted at the Telluride Film Festival in August. Its release on Op-Docs makes it publicly available for the first time.
“Three Short Films About Peace,” as the title would have it, is split between three sections: “The Dream” (Gbowee), “The Shipyard” (Walesa), and “The Moment” (Geldof). You can take a look at the trailer below.
