Rocker Slash Brings You Backstage on YouTube
Rocker Slash is starring in a new YouTube series “Real to Reel with Slash,” which chronicles the artist’s entire journey from LA to Florida as he writes, plays, and records a new album with his band, Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators.
The series begins in LA’s NRG Studios and airs weekly, offering behind-the-scenes glimpses into what really goes on during the making of a rock album. Though the album marks Slash’s third solo collection, his musical collaborators Myles Kennedy, Todd Kerns, and Brent Fitz will also provide commentary to break up the live, reality footage.
This recording process should be even more exciting for old school viewers, as the guys will use an endangered species to capture their sound: the two-inch analog tape. Slash wanted to showcase this method as opposed to digital, ironically displaying an old recording device on new media with the web series.
Slash’s first solo album came out in 2010, while the album “Apocalyptic Love,” featuring his “Real to Reel with Slash” co-stars, followed two years later. Ernie Ball’s recent launch of the web series will really let audience experience Slash’s solo album number three. Watch episode one on YouTube now.
Ernie Ball, the creator of the revolutionary Slinkys rock guitar strings, is sponsoring the show.Tags: Documentary, Ernie Ball, music, Slash, youtube
