The Next YouTube Space Destination Is…Brazil
You can now count Brazil as the latest country to set up a YouTube Space. Thanks to a partnership between the YouTube Space team and Instituto Criar, São Paulo will become the home to editing equipment and workshops geared to help Brazilian creators make more video content for the ‘Tube.
Founded by Luciano Huck, the Instituto Criar is a nonprofit that focuses on bringing film production education to low-income students. This means that in addition to YouTube creators gaining access to the space’s equipment, Instituto Criar students will get to create video content at the new YouTube Space in Brazil.
The first YouTube Space, in Los Angeles, launched in 2012, with London, Tokyo, and, lastly, New York following in its footsteps. YouTube Space @ Instituto Criar marks a unique addition because of its ties to the nonprofit.
Google is also on the way to unveiling a campus in São Paulo, and the giant tech company already has an engineering center in Belo Horizonte.Tags: Brazil, google, instituto criar, non-profit, YouTube Space, youtube space @ instituto criar, Youtube Space LA, youtube space london, youtube space new york, youtube space tokyo
