NYTVF Awards 20 Development Deals, Including Digital Projects with Tiny Riot, The Orchard
Twenty development deals were handed out at this year’s New York Television Festival, including straight-to-series orders from The Orchard and Travel Channel/Ulive.
While the awards cover development opportunities across both traditional and digital media, other digital deals announced during the fest’s closing night ceremony include projects with the likes of Conde Nast Entertainment and FremantleMedia’s digital studio Tiny Riot.
Conde Nast and Tiny Riot’s deals came through the NYTVF Pitch Awards program, and went to the teams of Ramiro Castro, Jr. and Pedro Castro and Sutton Dewey and Mark Millner, respectively.
The Orchard Go Project, an initiative from NYTVF and distributor/MCN The Orchard to finance the latter’s first original digital series, was given to Jim Kozyra for his series “The Jamz.”
Overall, 32 TV and digital development deals have been offered by the NYTVF in 2014, up from 26 in 2012 and 15 in 2011.Tags: conde nast entertainment, Digital Development, FremantleMedia North America, NYTVF, The Orchard, tiny riot, travel channel, ulive
