Documentary of Our 2nd Life Tour to Delight Tween Girls Everywhere

Not only is Our 2nd Life embarking on a much-awaited (by tween girls) nationwide tour, they’re also filming a documentary while they travel. As the boy group grows in popularity, with their main YouTube channel steadily approaching 2 million subscribers, their first North American tour brings them from Boston to Cleveland this Thursday.

Accompanying them is Michael Goldfine, the man behind another YouTube success, the feature film “Camp Takota,” and a veteran when it comes to touring talent. He will be responsible for capturing the tour, behind the scenes and all, for the documentary. In spite of Goldfine’s extensive experience, working with entertainers like Kevin Hart, Duran Duran, and Oprah Winfrey, he told Mashable that he has “never seen the passion that [he’s] seen for [O2L].”

Though it’s hardly news that tween girls get excited for teen boy bands, O2L remains unique for their vlogging roots. If you watch the boys perform, it becomes clear that their musical, dancing, and overall on-stage talents are not the central focus of their fans. Rather, their personalities cause the girls to scream and remain devoted to the group’s six members.

O2L, made up of Kian Lawley, Connor Franta, JC Caylen, Ricky Dillon, Trevor Moran, and Sam Pottorff (each of whom has his own YouTube channel), began their tour in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on May 28. Put together by DigiTour and Fullscreen, the tour ends at VidCon in Anaheim at the end of June.

The documentary begins as O2L preps for the stage, singing, dancing, and generally goofing around in the way girls around the country have come to adore. Fullscreen is producing the documentary, to a certain level of assumed success. “O2L’s massive fan community is difficult to rival and the live production adds to the excitement,” said Fullscreen’s head of talent, Larry Shapiro.
