Optimize Your YouTube Analytics with This A/B Testing Tool
With creators flocking to YouTube by the hundreds of thousands, simply uploading content isn’t enough anymore. To really make a name on YouTube, creators must have a complex understanding of how tags, thumbnails, and descriptions factor into driving traffic to a video. Unfortunately, with Google/YouTube’s constantly evolving SEO practices and site updates, knowing those best practices can be tricky.
Seeing this dilemma, YouTube analytics company VideoLC has developed an A/B testing tool that allows creators to understand what keywords and images best drive traffic. A/B testing refers to the practice of using experiments to test two variants, A and B. In YouTube, this method can be used to test how well video thumbnail A would do versus video thumbnail B and so on.
“A/B testing has never been hotter, yet, it is nowhere to be found in the world of online video,” says Phil Starkovich of VideoLC. “Using our tools, YouTube creators can use real, empirical data when deciding what title, description, tags and thumbnails are best for their video.”
The A/B tool specifically gives creators the chance to create variant experiments around their videos title, description, tags, and thumbnails, which will be tested by VideoLC once a day over a designated period of time. The results will then be measured and given to creators who will see how their experiments stacked up against a control sample (the original video).
Currently, VideoLC offers a suite of analytics tools to over 1 million creators worldwide. In addition to A/B testing tool, the company offers a host of video measurement functionalities, including keyword optimization and competitor tracking.Tags: A/B Testing, Analytics, VideoLC, youtube
