Phil DeFranco’s ForHumanPeoples Launches New Show to Mix Charity and Commerce
When Phil DeFranco launched his commerce-based YouTube channel, ForHumanPeoples, he promised that it would offer more than just a place for people to buy limited-edition merchandise.
That promise is more of a reality today with the launch of a new show on the channel called “Kid by Design,” which features and sells kid-designed t-shirts in an effort to raise money for various charities. The show conceit is simple: A child creates a design, which is then printed on to a t-shirt, which is then sold via a link under the video on the channel. All proceeds from sales will go to the charitable organization featured in the video.
For instance, the first video/episode features a design from Hayden Bereta, the daughter of SourceFed host Joe Bereta, and a partnership with Generosity Water, which builds wells for communities in need across the world.
While a Phil DeFranco project, it appears the SourceFed team will be actively involved with this new venture. Fellow SourceFed host Elliott Morgan also appears in the first episode of “Kid by Design,” while a video released on ForHumanPeoples last week featured Steven Zaragoza.
Per Discovery Digital, the plan is to do one new episode a month with different hosts and their chosen charity partners.
