PlayStation Announces Release Date for Original Series ‘Powers’
Sony’s PlayStation Network original series “Powers” now has a release date. The first three episodes of the series will debut on March 10.
Starring Sharlto Copley and Susan Heywards, “Powers” follows the the plot of the Brian Michael Bendis graphic novel, illustrated by Michael Avon Oeming, about a world in which some people have superpowers, and some people are cops assigned to police them (Copley and Heywards).
PlayStation is using the model typically employed by Amazon to get the show out to viewers. The first episode will be free and available to anyone who’s curious online (at PlayStation.com/Powers). While PlayStation Plus members can watch the whole, 10-episode first season for free, other viewers (if they get hooked by free episode one) can pay for individual episodes through the PlayStation Store.
Jinxworld and Circle of Confusion produce “Powers” in association with Sony Pictures Television. The series is executive produced by Bendis, Oeming, Remi Aubuchon, Michael Dinner, and David Engel.Tags: circle of confusion, Graphic Novel, jinxworld, PlayStation, playstation network, playstation original series, playstation plus, powers, sony, Sony Pictures Television
