Collective Digital Studio has signed another YouTube channel/online broadcast network from Maria Menounos. Black Hollywood Live, which offers an expansive slate of original programming covering black entertainment news and culture, will now be supported by CDS on YouTube. The deal includes YouTube channel and video content optimization and selling ads. Black Hollywood Live currently reaches more than 10,000 subscribers and its content generates more than 150,000 downloads per week. Previously, CDS inked a similar deal for Menounos’ AfterBuzz TV.
CBSN, the 24-hour digital news network from CBS, is now available on the CBS News app for Android. Launched in November 2014, CBSN is also available via the CBS News apps for iOS and Windows 8.1, as well as connected-TV devices such as Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV. For those who want to watch online, it can be accessed via CBSNews.com.
Meredith Corp. has named Kim Martin chief strategy officer. In her new role, Martin will develop corporate and business strategies, focusing on millennial-geared content across Meredith’s platforms. Martin will officially step into the position on April 13, at which time she will begin reporting to the chairman and CEO of Meredith, Steve Lacy. Before joining Meredith, Martin worked as the president and general manager of WE TV for nine years.
