Revision3, VEVO Arrive on Google’s Chromecast
Google’s Chromecast device, which allows users to seamlessly flip videos from their mobile apps and laptops to a connected TV screen, now offers access to two more premium video services: Revision3 and VEVO.
Both Revision3 and VEVO announced today that their mobile apps have been integrated with Chromecast. Following the same functionality as other video apps on the streaming dongle, users can send whatever they’re watching on their Revision3 or VEVO app* to a Chromecast-connected TV with just one click. All that’s required is that the Chromecast and the mobile device are hooked up to the same Wi-Fi network.
In addition to the mobile app support, Revision3 and VEVO are also making it possible for users to send videos from each service’s website to a Chromecast TV. This can be done by downloading the Google Cast Chrome browser plug-in.
Other video services supported by Chromecast, which generally retails for $35, include Netflix, Hulu Plus, and YouTube.Tags: Apps, Chromecast, Discovery Digital Networks, google, hulu plus, Mobile Apps, mobile video, Netflix, revision3, Vevo, youtube
