Rightster and Viral Spiral Form New Digital Yoga Network

London-based social video ad company Viral Spiral is partnering with video distributor Rightster and yoga management company YAMA Talent to launch a new multi-channel video network focused on yoga and lifestyle content.

Together, the three companies will manage the Digital Yoga Network, which is launching with several yoga channels already on board. The network’s roster includes top yoga expert Ekhart Yoga (156,000+ subs), as well as Sadie Nardini (2,000+ subs), Meghan Currie (15,000+ subs), and Patrick Beach (4,000+ subs). These creators will produce original and brand-funded content as well as collaborate with other channels on the DYN roster. Eventually, the companies say they will add lifestyle talent to the network.

The goal is to help advertisers reach yoga and lifestyle content consumers, which generally skew 18-44 and female. Viral Spiral, Rightster, and YAMA will offer brands the chance to place pre-rolls and banner ads against the content, as well as various brand integration, product placement, and “branded entertainment” packages.

The Digital Yoga Network was originally developed by YAMA Talent and Viral Spiral, which helps seed branded content in front of trending and viral videos. Viral Spiral manages viral videos and creators, including, most famously, the family behind the “Charlie Bit My Finger!” video, which has more than half a billion views to date on YouTube. The company’s Vine network comprises 50 million followers.

Rightster, which will assist in distribution and rights management, has relationships with over 6,500 publishers.
