Ryan Wyatt Departs Machinima to Head Programming at Major League Gaming
After spending the past three years as head of eSports at YouTube gaming network Machinima, Ryan Wyatt is leaving the company to rejoin Major League Gaming as VP of programming.
At MLG, Wyatt will oversee its online video division, MLG.tv, which the company says has grown viewership 60% since launch. His responsibilities include creating more original shows for the platform, as well as working with content partners to produce content with top eSports talent.
Wyatt replaces Chris Puckett, who’s staying with the company but now as a VP and executive producer for all MLG Pro Circuit competition broadcasts. He will also continue to executive produce “eSports Report,” MLG’s “SportsCenter”-style show about the world of competitive gaming.
Wyatt, a professional video-gaming commentator, actually got his start in the business with MLG, which he had joined for the first time in 2008.Tags: eSports, Exec Moves, gaming, Machinima, mlg, mlg.tv, Movers, ryan wyatt
