Seinfeld Creates Espresso Version of ‘Comedians in Cars’
Today, there’s some good new for “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” fans. Jerry Seinfeld has come out with a spinoff series called “Single Shots,” that amounts to an espresso-sized version of his original digital show.
Episodes of “Single Shots” run about two minutes long and feature guests who have formerly appeared with Seinfeld in “Comedians in Cars.” In the super short-form show, the comedians all focus on a single topic. For example, the very first episode centers on donuts, as discussed by Sarah Silverman, Tina Fey, and Brian Regan. You can watch it here.
“Single Shots” includes footage viewers may have seen from prior “Comedians in Cars” episodes alongside some previously unseen moments. Produced by Sony Pictures Television’s Embassy Row and viewable on Crackle as well as its own website, “Comedians in Cars” has basked in major success since its 2012 debut. It’s earned Webby Awards and Emmy nominations along with over 55 million streams.
For comedian-loving fans who just don’t have time to watch the show, however, “Single Shots” should serve as the perfect alternative. As an espresso, it can be what you quickly take in on your way to work.Tags: brian regan, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Crackle, Jerry Seinfeld, Sarah Silverman, single shots, spinoff, Tina Fey, webby awards
