Sissy Spacek Cast in Untitled Netflix Drama from Creators of ‘Damages’
That untitled Netflix “psychological” drama from the creators of “Damages”* continues fill out its cast.
Today, Sissy Spacek, who you probably know from “Carrie” or “Big Love,” has signed on to star in the series. She will play the matriarch of the dysfunctional family at the center of the show. She joins previously announced cast members Kyle Chandler (“Friday Night Lights”), Ben Mendelsohn (“The Dark Knight Rises”), and Linda Cardellini (“Mad Men”).
Picked up for series by Netflix in October, the untitled drama tells the story of “a family of siblings whose secrets and scars are revealed when their black sheep brother returns home.” Mendelsohn plays the black sheep, with Chandler and Cardellini playing his younger siblings.
The drama is written and executive produced by Todd A. Kessler, his brother Glenn Kessler, and Daniel Zelman, and produced by Sony Pictures Television.
