Speed Stick Gear to Sponsor Devin SuperTramp’s Next Stunt Film
Colgate-Palmolive brand Speed Stick Gear is sponsoring the next big stunt from filmmaker Devin Graham, known on YouTube as Devin SuperTramp.
It’s being called Graham’s “greatest challenge yet” — and that’s all Graham is willing to share right now. As part of the campaign, fans will be given the opportunity over the coming weeks to guess the details and location of the stunt via social media. Graham will release a series of clues about the stunt on his Twitter account. Fans can then take guesses on what it is by using the hashtag #GearChallenge. On May 8, Graham will select one lucky fan to be on location for the shoot, which will take place this summer.
“As a young, creative, and emerging filmmaker, Devin is about to embark on an experience that aligns perfectly with our brand story,” said Bill Van De Graaf, VP and GM, US personal care for Colgate-Palmolive, in a statement. “We’re so excited to connect consumers with Speed Stick Gear by capturing and sharing Devin’s personal experience making his next groundbreaking film.”
The messaging around Speed Stick Gear is that the product is perfect at keeping guys dry even during the most extreme of circumstances, which as an obvious tonal similarity to the type of content Graham shoots.
The deal was packaged by YouTube MCN Fullscreen, which reps Graham. One of the services it offers to top talent, other brand and media deals brokered by Fullscreen include a partnership with the MTV Movie Awards for the comedy group Our2ndLife; another deal with MTV on behalf of Anthony Quintal (“Lohanthony”) to host a “Teen Wolf” recap show; and a Coca-Cola campaign for Connor Franta in partnership with Ryan Seacrest Productions.
