‘Sports Illustrated’ Series Now on Portico TV
Net2TV has partnered with Time Inc. to launch a new series on the Portico connected-TV service based on the publisher’s popular Sports Illustrated brand.
Hosted by Maggie Gray, “Sports Illustrated” will offer behind-the-scenes sports footage and analysis, kicking off with a trip to New Orleans.
Episode one of “Sports Illustrated” will focus on football stars Drew Brees, quarterback for the Saints, and Leonard Fournette, LSU running back. In true Sports Illustrated style, the episode will also journey to the Swiss Alps to fit in some swimsuit shoot footage.
“Sports Illustrated” joins other Time Inc.-based programs on Portico like “Cooking Light,” “People This Week,” “Inside Golf Magazine,” and “The Week in Time.” Earlier this year, Time Inc. and Net2TV made a deal tacking the streaming video service onto Time Inc.’s digital distribution network.
Content on the free, ad-supported service can be watched through smart TVs from Samsung, Sharp, LG, and Philips as well as Roku-connected TVs and Toshiba devices. Debuting today, September 4, the latest Portico Time Inc. show is also available at www.portico.tv.Tags: drew brees, leonard fournette, maggie gray, mobile video streaming, Net2TV, Portico TV, Smart TVs, Sports, Sports Illustrated, TIme Inc., Toshiba
