StyleHaul Hires AOL Exec to Lead New Branded Content Studio
StyleHaul has hired AOL’s Rob DeChiaro to oversee its branded-content business.
As senior vice president and general manager of the newly formed StyleHaul Studios, DeChairo will be responsible for the creation and distribution of custom branded videos and series featuring the multi-channel network’s YouTube talent. StyleHaul, which exclusively focuses on fashion, style, and beauty content, currently represents more than 4,600 creators on YouTube.
“To expand what we are already doing in premium content for advertisers, we really needed an in-house creative agency,” said StyleHaul president and CEO Stephanie Horbaczewski to Variety, which first reported the news.
Beauty is a core vertical on YouTube, and one of the largest drivers of views and engagement — perfectly suited for influencer-led marketing that’s becoming increasingly common on the world’s biggest video site.
Most recently, DeChiaro was the VP of strategy and partnerships at AOL. There, he was responsible for driving revenue strategy and partnership development for AOL.com and AOL’s lifestyle-oriented brands.
Other originals from StyleHaul, including projects developed via its multi-year partnership with FremantleMedia, will remain under the oversight of the company’s content chief Mia Goldwyn.Tags: AOL, Beauty, Exec Moves, Fashion, MCN, Movers, Rob DeChiaro, Style, StyleHaul, YouTube Creators
