StyleHaul Hires New COO from Sister Company FremantleMedia

StyleHaul has dipped into the RTL Group family to find its new chief operating officer. The company, which runs the largest beauty and lifestyle network on YouTube, has hired Olivier Delfosse, most recently the SVP of digital media at FremantleMedia.

In the new role, Delfosse will lead the “alignment and prioritization” of StyleHaul’s investments, as well as create a strategic roadmap for the company’s expansion into international markets, with Asia and Brazil as top priorities, the company said.

Delfosse will also oversee partnerships between StyleHaul and other companies within the RTL Group portfolio, which includes FremantleMedia, which StyleHaul has a multi-year deal with to develop 10 original series including last year’s “The Crew.”

“His experience and accomplishments at FremantleMedia, as well as his deep global and distribution knowledge will add tremendous value,” said StyleHaul CEO Stephanie Horbaczewski in a statement. “His appointment paves the way for deeper and more meaningful partnerships with RTL and FremantleMedia and he is also uniquely positioned to help develop possible synergies with BroadbandTV, SpotXchange, and Divimove.”

Last November, RTL Group spent $107 million to acquire most of StyleHaul. The company also owns majority stakes in Vancouver-based MCN BroadbandTV and European MCN Divimove (through FremantleMedia), as well as video ad tech giant Spotxchange.

At FremantleMedia, Delfosse is credited for driving global digital initiatives and partnerships for the production giant, including deals with YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. As StyleHaul attempts to expand its reach beyond YouTube, his expertise will be important, the company said.

He will be based in StyleHaul’s LA headquarters, and will work directly with Horbaczewski.
