Taryn Southern Stars in New Romantic Series from Andrew Jenks

Andrew Jenks, the filmmaker behind “World of Jenks” on MTV, is launching a new web series today about the realities of being a twenty-something and dating in New York.

If that sounds like a road already traveled by many, many filmmakers, you’re not wrong. But give Jenks credit for what appears to be a fresh format: he’s going to tell a love story by juxtaposing what happens in fantasy (read: movieland) and what happens in real life.

Starring Jenks as the nameless protagonist and Taryn Southern as his dream girl, “It’s About a Girl” will roll out on Jenks’ YouTube channel. New episodes will also be published to HuffPost Women each week, though I’m not familiar with any other distribution deals/partnerships at the moment.
