Xbox Announces a Slew of New Entertainment Apps
Xbox One and Xbox 360 just loaded up with a whole lot of new apps, boasting 45 entertainment opportunities in all. The apps include everything from Twitter for television and Vine to HBO GO, Major League Gaming, and MTV. This marks an overall 25% increase in the company’s app catalogue, which will be available for users all over the world.

Study: Audiences Increasingly Going Mobile for Entertainment 84% of category ads contained video, rich media
A study conducted by global mobile video advertising firm Vdopia found that mobile consumption of entertainment-themed media is sharply on the rise. The information was pulled from the Vdopia Mobile Insights (VMI) Series, which takes a look at brand and consumer behavior across the Silicon Valley-based company’s global reach of 330 million people. Past studies in the VMI Series have zeroed in on automobile and multicultural topics.

Well, IMPALA, the independent music coalition recently threatened to take YouTube before the European Commission for “bully” tactics — now they’ve gone and done it. A joint complaint from several smaller labels, the coalition put out a statement that read:
IMPALA, the European independents association, will be spearheading a complaint with the EC. The complaint will include a request for urgent intervention to stop YouTube carrying out any blocking measures or issuing new threats. Regulatory action is seen as an essential safeguard against abusive conduct and to promote real competition and diversity in the digital music market.
